ASSESSMENT AND
EVALUATION
Assessment is an important part of the teaching and learning process. Assessment is both for learning (formative) and of learning (summative).
The Chonkanyanukoon School English Program uses the Understading by Design (UBD) model to guide the development of our curriculum and assessment. Assessment are closely aligned to key understanding of subject matter to ensure that they provide accurate evidence of learning.
Assessment modes are varied, providing opportunities for students to demonstrate their understanding in different ways. They are rigorous and emphasize content mastery, process skills and thinking skills.
Assessment tools include:
| ■ |
Standardised pen and paper test |
| ■ |
Performance tasks using rubric evaluation |
| ■ |
Journals |
| ■ |
Portfolios |
| ■ |
